I’m so happy you’re here!

Mina da Alegria started with a little request from my eldest daughter. When she turned four, she asked me to make 11 necklaces and 11 bracelets for her birthday. I wanted to make something special for her, and I never imagined that this little project would grow into something I love doing so much today.

That was how I discovered my love for making jewelry by hand. One knot at a time, I found myself drawn into the world of micromacramé and natural gemstones.

Today, I make handmade micromacramé jewelry using natural stones that catch my eye. I love how every stone is a little different, with its own colors, patterns, and little details. No two are quite the same, and I think that’s part of what makes working with natural gemstones so special.

I also love finding beautiful natural gemstone cabochons to share with fellow jewelry makers and creative souls. Whether you’re making your own jewelry or simply love collecting stones, you can find my cabochons in my Etsy shop, including individual stones, pairs, and selected lots.

You might be wondering about the name Mina da Alegria. It means “mine of joy” in Portuguese. I chose it because I want to be a source of joy for my beloved daughters. And if something I make can bring a little happiness to someone else, too, that makes me happy.
